SAFA Pro League ("we", "us", "our") operates the SAFA Pro League web platform ("the Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our services.

By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Information We Collect

Information from Discord

When you sign in via Discord OAuth, we receive:

  • Your Discord user ID, username, and discriminator.
  • Your Discord email address.
  • Your Discord avatar URL.

Information You Provide

During onboarding and profile setup, you may provide:

  • EA username, gaming platform (PlayStation / Xbox / PC), and platform-specific usernames.
  • Preferred playing position(s) and bot level.
  • Nationality and clubs experience.
  • Profile picture.
  • Social media links (Instagram, YouTube, Steam).

Automatically Collected Data

  • Match statistics and performance data (synced from EA where applicable).
  • Tournament participation records, standings, and awards.
  • SNP session attendance and reliability scores.
  • Support ticket content and correspondence.
  • Audit logs of key account actions (login, profile changes, etc.).

Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your data may be shared in the following limited circumstances:

  • Public profile data: Your username, avatar, position, nationality, stats, and social links are visible to other Platform users via your player profile.
  • Discord integration: We send notifications to your Discord account via DMs and post match/session information to SAFA Discord channels.
  • EA integration: We sync match data with EA Sports services using your EA player ID.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of the Platform and its users.
Section 05

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a MySQL database and secured with industry-standard practices including:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all Platform traffic.
  • Hashed and secured authentication tokens.
  • Access controls limiting who can view or modify data.
  • Regular backups to prevent data loss.

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Section 06

Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active.
  • Match statistics and tournament records are retained indefinitely as part of the league's historical record.
  • Audit logs are retained for up to 12 months.
  • Support tickets are retained for up to 24 months after resolution.
  • If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal reasons or league record integrity.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information via your profile settings.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting support.
  • Objection: Object to certain data processing activities.
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format.

Cookies & Local Storage

The Platform uses essential cookies for:

  • Session management: Keeping you signed in during your visit.
  • CSRF protection: Preventing cross-site request forgery attacks.
  • Preferences: Remembering your settings (e.g., season filters).

We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. No data is shared with ad networks.

Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the Platform or Discord announcements.
