Terms of Service

Section 01

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SAFA Pro League platform ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

These Terms apply to all users, including players, team managers, administrators, and visitors. By signing in through Discord, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Section 02

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Platform.
  • You must have a valid Discord account to register and participate.
  • You must provide accurate information during onboarding, including your EA username and gaming platform details.
  • You must not have been previously banned from the Platform unless your ban has been lifted through the official appeals process.
Section 03

User Accounts

Your account is created automatically when you sign in via Discord. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your Discord account.
  • All activity that occurs under your account on the Platform.
  • Keeping your profile information (EA username, gaming platform, etc.) accurate and up to date.

You may not share, transfer, or sell your account to another person. Each user may only maintain one account on the Platform.

Section 04

Code of Conduct

All users must adhere to the following standards of behaviour:

  • Treat all players, managers, and staff with respect.
  • Do not engage in harassment, discrimination, hate speech, or toxic behaviour.
  • Do not use cheats, exploits, or any form of manipulation to gain an unfair advantage.
  • Do not impersonate other users, staff, or any other person.
  • Do not spam, flood, or disrupt communication channels.
  • Follow all tournament-specific rules and regulations.

Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans at the discretion of the administrators.

Section 05

Tournaments & Matches

  • All tournament matches must be played according to the published schedule and rules.
  • Match results and statistics are recorded automatically through EA integration where possible and may also be submitted manually by authorised personnel.
  • Disputes regarding match results must be raised through the official support ticket system within 24 hours of the match.
  • The Platform reserves the right to modify tournament formats, schedules, and rules at any time.
Section 06

Split & Play (SNP) Sessions

  • By joining an SNP session, you commit to attending at the scheduled time.
  • Repeated no-shows (3 consecutive or 5 total) will result in a permanent block from SNP sessions.
  • Blocked users may appeal through the support ticket system.
  • Session hosts have the authority to remove participants and manage team assignments.
Section 07

User-Generated Content

Users may submit content through SAFA Central (articles, blogs, memes, highlights). By submitting content, you:

  • Confirm that you own or have the right to share the content.
  • Grant SAFA Pro League a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote the content on the Platform and associated channels.
  • Accept that submitted content is subject to moderation and may be rejected or removed.
  • Agree not to submit content that is offensive, defamatory, illegal, or infringes on the rights of others.
Section 08

Intellectual Property

All Platform content, design, branding, logos, and software are the property of SAFA Pro League or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

EA Sports, FC, PlayStation, Xbox, Discord, and all related marks are trademarks of their respective owners. SAFA Pro League is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.

Section 09

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Reasons for termination include but are not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms or the Code of Conduct.
  • Cheating or exploiting game mechanics.
  • Fraudulent or harmful activity.
  • Prolonged inactivity at the discretion of administrators.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

Section 10

Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. SAFA Pro League does not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform.
  • Accuracy or completeness of statistics, standings, or other data.
  • Availability of specific features or services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SAFA Pro League shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

Section 11

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the Platform or Discord announcements.
